this is my full creation using my own photo shoot, i found that recreating the picture i used in the last related post was unpractical. i wasnt able to acheive the same definition or detail through my attempts and finding the correct location was hard. i therefore descided to go far a different approach by simply taking a clear front light photo which i have used against the pages white background. the white background adds to the definition of the picture and makes the models more imposng on the page therefore drawing atttention to the article. i have used costume very well in my photos and have used the models clothes and props such as the sunglasses to relate to my more sophisticated hip hop target audience. i have stretched my wave graphic along the page to link the models to the relating text, this creates a visible path between the artist and their story.

i have created this graphic to act as a bottom banner for my front cover. this graphic is a strong image and links the black and white theme to the meaning of the magazine. the graphic is extremely significant to the layout of my front cover as it acts as the end of the Z composition. the Z composition created makes it easy for the reader to interpret the page as it creates a visual passage for the eye to navigate the page along. the graphic also symbolises the meaning of the magazine as it focuses on the leading distributors of hip hop london and America.
final version of double page spread!
i have used the convention of having three colunms on a page, this technique allows me to appeal to the upper class and more proffesional nature i am targeting my magazine at. it also stears me away from traditional bold and imosing hip hop magazines such as the source and gives an effect of a higher standard and finish. i have also added a second title three strikes and your out to link to both the contents page making it easier for the user to navigate the magazine and also to the article itself. the black and white finish is used throughout the page and makes the page more easier to read for the user, the black and white also ties to the nature of "strikez's" lirics.
