Drakes apperance in GQ magazine showed a very subtle use of colour text and titling. this is what i hope to achieve with my  magazine. The use of bright orange is a complete contrast to the black and white suit that the model is wearing however through cleaver use in the right places it adds another dimension to the cover. The orange is also successful in attracting the eye of the target audience. The background has been split using the models outline as a divide. one side has been filled black and the other white however both colous have been dullend down therfore not giving to sharp a contrast on the page. The text is white on the side of the black fill and then black on the white side. this makes the text easy to read and the articles easier to recognise. The orange colour is used as an anchoring colour bringing attention to the feature article and then linking the text to the model. This cover goes against convention as the magazines title is place over that of the photograph therefore detracting from the cover image. however, this is clearly justified because of its effective nature of linking the image back to the anchoring text again through the use of orange font.
